Caolas Beag is a cosy, self-catering cottage located above the spectacular Big Sands Beach in the Gairloch area of the Northwest Scottish Highlands. The cottage has spectacular views and is the perfect location for your Highland holiday with an endless number of activities to enjoy and sites to see. We are a no-smoking cottage that sleeps 4, has free Fibre Broadband WIFI and accepts up to 3 well behaved dogs. Duvets and pillows are provided, however we ask that you bring your own bedding, towels and dish towels with you. It benefits from double glazing throughout and has two multi-fuel stoves and electric radiators in each room for your added comfort.

The Double Bedroom: a large bright room with breathtaking views over Big Sand Beach to the Torridon Mountain Range. The room is well furnished with two bedside cabinets, a clock/radio, a large wardrobe, chest of drawers, two wicker chairs, hairdryer and a multi-fuel stove.

Mr MacPherson’s cottage (left) in Big Sand in 1960, looking as Caolas Beag cottage would have when it was first built.27 Big Sand in 1981 (left). the last of the original thatched cottages in the village which sadly has now fallen into disrepair.
